Viveka | The practice of Discernment...

If you have been watching the news, you might have noticed the recent civic protests in specific areas of Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua. These protests are arising from a number of the population needing to have their voice heard in disagreement with the current leadership.

Protesting is something I have witnessed and participated in various times in my country

and advocate for everyone’s voices to be raised peacefully.

As a yogi and an individual who strives to awaken towards unity,

I honor non-violent resolution and encourage and recognize others who do so as well.

Over the past 10 years my brother and I have traveled extensively through Nicaragua, falling in love with the generosity and inclusivity of the Nicaraguan people.

We can say safely, that the peace in the country is the primary goal for all parties involved.

We are in constant communication with our retreat center and local businesses along the west coast, learning that there has been zero protesting and violence in these areas.

Business and life remains as “tranquilo” as ever.

But we are using this as a learning opportunity to discuss with you the discontent abroad and to take in information from all sides, practicing Viveka or Discernment, to make the most educated and rightful action for the future of our upcoming Yoga and Surf Retreat.

We welcome all discussion and questions that you might have at any time.

Mucho Namaste-

Sarah and Zach
